e-MOTE The Art of Storytelling Creative Workshop
Duration | 30 minutes |
---|---|
Activity | Using time-honoured storytelling tools of experience, memory and observation, this creative workshop will stimulate thought and discussion setting students on the path to creating stories revolving around the theme of the competition. |
Students will learn about the tools of storytelling, namely experience, memory and observation. Then, they will be asked to reflect on and write out a short paragraph with the spark:
“Think of someone who you’ve met and who surprised you after you got to know them better. They can be from a different race or different culture and can be someone who you see every day but you never really made the effort to know better.”
Following that, students will present their writing and we will discuss how to transform that into a narrative piece to be filmed, possibly for the competition.
