Cyril Wong

Cyril Wong is the author of several poetry collections, including the Singapore Literature Prize-winning book, Unmarked Treasure, as well as a novel and a collection of strange tales. His most recent poetry collection was After You, a book of confessional love poems by Math Paper Press. His writings have appeared in various anthologies and journals, including the 2008 Norton-anthology, Language for a New Century. He has been invited to speak and read at festivals across the world, including the Edinburgh International Book Festival and both the Sydney and Melbourne Writers Festivals. A recipient of the National Arts Council's Young Artist Award for Literature in 2005, Cyril is also a renegade countertenor and the last time he told a fairy-tale in public, his performance was mentored and presented by MoonShadow Stories at The Substation, Singapore.
