Sayang Singapore


Sayang Singapore � an unique event specially organised by the National Book Development Council of Singapore (NBDCS) to celebrate Singapore�s National Day. It features a selection of our finest Singaporean storytellers presenting a collection of stories dedicated to Singapore. The stories have universal appeal and touch on meaningful values related to our rich culture and history of the Lion City.

Target Audience:
All Singaporeans particularly young people, families, students, teachers and MINDEF/SAF personnel.

Content of Stories:
The matinee and evening shows will present a treasure trove of tales with fun and laughter and imparting meaningful values that will warm our soul and tug at our heartstrings. At the same time they let us reflect on how Singapore has changed and what it means to each one of us.

The delicate chords of the accompanying Javanese Gamelan music provide a gentle backdrop for the stories. So come and see our storytellers in action and we guarantee that you will enjoy listening to stories that are close to all our hearts!

Friday 11 August, 3.00pm (matinee) and 7.30pm (evening)

Ticketing Information:
Tickets will be on sale from 19 June 2006.
� Ticket charge at $12 (matinee) and $15 (evening show).
� Special rates for the following groups:
- $10 (matinee) / $12 (evening show) per person for MINDEF/SAF personnel and their families.
- $10 (matinee) / $12 (evening show) per person for SIM staff/SIM Members and their families.
- $10 (matinee) / $12 (evening show) per person for IKEA friends/IKEA friends VISA cardmembers and their families.
- $7 (matinee) / $10 (evening show) per person for a group of 50 or more.

Purchase and collection of all tickets is at the National Book Development Council of Singapore only. Payment of all tickets (in Singapore Dollars) is by cash or cheque and cheque should be made payable to �NBDCS�.
